Silicon Slopes is constantly developing new ways to help Utah’s entrepreneurs thrive. As the heart of Utah’s startup community, we often see great business concepts succeed or fail based on the strength of the brand story they tell. 

 

Our Slopes Serves initiative, in partnership with Hyperquake, is proud to introduce an innovative program to serve Utah’s entrepreneurs: Slopes Serves + Hyperquake Creative Sprint. Between April 19-May 22, 2022, we will be welcoming early-stage, Utah-based startups to apply to receive professional creative services and support in crafting their brand’s strategy, story and execution. 

 

One startup will be selected based on their business concept, scalable market potential, and the likely impact of brand services on their growth. Because Silicon Slopes and Hyperquake are committed to investing in the Utah entrepreneurial community, these collaborative, creative services will be provided at no cost to the startup. Entrepreneurship isn’t just about taking chances — it’s also about giving chances. We are proud to offer this powerful chance to a driven, deserving young company.

• Who can apply? 

  • All applicants must be startups currently in their pre-seed or series A funding stages and headquartered in Utah. There are no restrictions on company size, industry, or category. 

• What is the application process?

  • The application form will go live at siliconslopes.com on April 19, 2022. The application will ask you to provide current business details, background information for your company and its current brand and marketing, and allow you the opportunity to outline the creative services you think would have the greatest impact on your business. The application will close on May 22, 2022 at 11:59 PM  MT. 

  • The top applicants selected via committee will be invited to interview with Slopes Serves and Hyperquake. The intent of the interview is to learn more about their business goals and operations, while ensuring there is a good fit between the offering and the business’s needs. We will notify every applicant of our decision before making the public announcement of the selected company at StartFEST on June 24, 2022.

• What is the creative process?

  • The recipient will work with Hyperquake to craft a professional project scope that provides the right set of creative deliverables to advance the business. Hyperquake is well versed in producing professional creative services at an entrepreneurial pace. The exact timeline will depend on the recipient and scope and will be determined upon scope creation. 

 

Hyperquake and Silicon Slopes reserve the right to review all submitted applications and determine the finalists and winner based on a selection committee across both parties. All applications will receive equal treatment and review based on the information each company provides. Collectively, we have chosen to limit our applicants to pre-seed and Series A startups only. All submitted information will be kept confidential by any individuals that review it and a Non-Disclosure Agreement can be supplied and signed, if desired.
